Maybe it is because I am mom…but I thought this video was too cute! Nathan was learning how to lunge and I told him to be exaggerated in his body language. Denmark was trying to be pretty good although he sometimes wants to stop without you asking.
Notice how after Denmark stops when he wasn’t asked to Nathan clearly pulls on the rope to tell Denmark the direction and then taps with the stick to ‘drive’ him to follow the leadrope pressure. These mini’s have been fun for all as well as educational.

That video is GREAT! I wish we could trace the ‘bloodlines’, mine are a color I have never seen on a horse before, plus one has appy spots on top of the strange color. I love it!

a new trainer in the making!
ponies are the best, esp Icelandic and Shetland types (I know these are mini’s…), for learning what an equid could do and COULD be thinking about
. so smart and sassy. I love the ponies I learned to ride on–they taught me everything about equid behavior- good and bad
